APC Partners with PDCA to Co-Present APC Training Days
Richmond, Va. – American Painting Contractor (APC) announces a new partnership with the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America (PDCA) to co-present Training Days, a series of one-day training events for painting and decorating contractors launched in August 2010.
Training Days is a series of regional events that provide professional education to contractors without requiring them to spend several days away from their business. The one-day education-packed events deliver practical, industry-specific information contractors need. Session topics include guerilla marketing, social networking, green painting, mold and mildew treatments, RRP updates, surface prep, sprayer use and maintenance, and much more.
“Training is essential to the ongoing growth and success of every contractor in the industry,” said Richard Greene, CEO of PDCA. ”We are pleased to partner with APC to bring the latest, greatest information to PDCA members across the country and their nonmember peers that will help them grow and improve their companies. Training Days is a solid platform to learn more about industry techniques and best practices. PDCA is pleased to be a part of these great learning opportunities.”
“We're very excited that PDCA is now partnering with us on Training Days,” said Andrew Dwyer, publisher of American Painting Contractor. “When we launched Training Days this year, we were confident that this new series of educational events offered great value to the painting industry. That belief is certainly validated by our partnership with PDCA, which has long set the industry standard for educating painting contractors. No doubt, this is a big win for contractors, too, because they now have the opportunity to gain unparalleled education from the two national leaders in painting education – PDCA and APC. And we bring that education right to their backyards.”
Training Days presented by APC and PDCA consist of a full day of product, application, marketing and regulatory information presented by top professionals in the painting industry. Training Day events are attended by painting contractors and sponsored by paint and tool manufacturers. “So in addition to delivering top-level education to contractors, our events provide a unique opportunity for contractors and manufacturers to interact in a meaningful way,” said Dwyer.
